I think I found Mary Elizabeth Parker in 1881 :

The age is wrong - no surprise there then !

I was able to check the BNA today, and that death notice for William Botterill Parker appeared in the York Herald on Sat. 11 Feb 1888 and simply said: PARKEr - on the 7th inst at Leeds, William Botterill Parker, chemist" - so there was no more insight to be had!
