Burma Star Association records on FMP

For those with a military ancestor who served in the Burma campaign of World War 2: FMP now has over 53,000 membership forms of the Burma Star Association. To become a full member of the Association, an ex-Serviceman, ex-Servicewoman or Nurse must have been awarded the Burma Campaign Star for service in Burma during World War 2 for the necessary qualifying period or the Pacific Star with Burma Clasp.

UK WWII Royal Artillery Tracer Cards, 1939-1948

Ancestry UK has a new collection this month: UK, WWII Royal Artillery Tracer Cards, 1939-1948. This collection comprises cards created to track the movements of soldiers between units within the Royal Artillery during WWII. Please Note: In this first release, Ancestry have included all records for servicemen with surnames starting A-P. They will be adding all remaining cards in a future update.

WW1 Weekly Casualty Lists free at NLS website.

Seen recently on the Great War Forum, advice that WW1
Weekly Casualty Lists 7 August 1917 to 4 March 1919
are now available for free on the National Library of Scotland website.

FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries-set up procedure

FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries have access to many digitised records (but not all) from FamilySearch that otherwise would only be available at a FamilySearch Centre.

There have been some recent blogs from FamilySearch about Affiliate Libraries, and it would appear that FS is making it easier for libraries to become a FS Affiliate Library
