I think I've messed this one up somewhere along the line...

Can anyone help with this one? I think I've made a mistake somewhere along the line! I'm using the Diocese of Chester baptism/marriage/burial records on FMP for most of this.

My husband's 3x great-grandfather Thomas Fleet married Martha Thompson at St. Wilfrid's Church, Davenham in Cheshire on 13 August 1837. His occupation is given as a salt-boiler, living in Wharton, and he's a widower. His father is shown as Ralp (Ralph) Fleet. Martha is a ...

John Atherton Brick Wall

I'm struggling to find a birth for my 4th great grandfather John Atherton.
From the various censuses he was born around 1797, probably in the Aspull area of Wigan,Lancashire and I think his parents were John & Mary (possibly Arrowsmith).
There are two Atherton families in Aspull & Ince (about 3 miles apart) with John Atherton & Mary Arrowsmith as parents. I'm leaning towards the Aspull family because John had a younger brother called Robert ...

Millenium File

During my researches on the "Ancestry" site I have found information into the Mid 17C, very exciting. This information has come from the Millenium File, a source I am not familiar with. I know that primary sources i.e. parish registers are the preferred source but this information seems to come from Parish register transcriptions anyway.
My question is can anyone put my mind at rest as to the validity and accuracy of this source? it ...

James Holland 4x Great Grandfather

This is everything I have so far

James Holland 1809-1880

The story so far
Marriage certificate for George Holland and Mary Ann Simpson, shows that George’s father is James Holland a Cutler

The 1841 census
George Holland is a lodger not with his father James. George is unmarried, 23 years old born 1820 Sheffield and is a Tailor. This matches the Marriage Cert I have for George and Mary Ann
