Hannah Blatherwick's parents.

Hi everyone, I'm having some issues with my 5th great grandmother, Hannah Blatherwick.
She was born in Gedling, Notts in 1768 to Thomas Blatherwick and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown), she moved to Hertfordshire and married George Harris in 1789, they just about made the 1841 census, so I got a small piece of info about them both.
The problem is her parents, I haven't a clue who Elizabeth is and I might never know, however, ...

Birth Certificates Ceylon (Sri Lanka) Birth Certificates Ceylon (Sri Lanka)

I don't know if anyone can help but I was wondering if anyone had tried to obtain birth certificates for people born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). My great uncle, Harold Leslie Lakeman was born in Ceylon on 28th December 1888, the son of Frederick Sanders Lakeman and his wife Emma.

I have a birth certificate for his older sister, Winifred Eleanor, who was born in Bambalapitiya, Colombo, on 24th May 1885 and I ...

Jane Williamson

Hi everyone,

I am having an ongoing nightmare trying to find the death of my 3rd great grandmother, Jane Williamson.
She was born in 1814 in Auchterless, Aberdeenshire, she married John Reid (b.1817 Marnoch) in 1837 at Marnoch, Banffshire.
They're together from the 1841 census to 1861 and had ten children together and then in 1871, Jane has disappeared from the census records and must have died between 1861 - 1871 and this is further ...

Catherine Crawford

I can't find her anywhere after the 1881 England Census. She lives with her mother (Mary Ann Leighton) and stepfather. Mary Ann remarried in 1880, Poplar (listed Widow). Potential Father (George Crawford) died 1877, Poplar.

She says she was born in the USA and and then you find her potential birth in Vermont based on parentage.

And without ordering certificates (which could get expensive).

Where would she went after 1881?

It so happens that a second cousin sent me copies of loads of certificates including one for this same grandmother. There is a difference in that on that certificate they have put the full name and country of origin of my great grand mother and country ...
