Missing family 1911 census

Think I'm going mad but I cannot find a whole family in 1911. Is this common? I have tried on Ancestry, Find my Past, and Genes. The father, Harry Baker b1860 in Bishops Caundle Dorset did not die until 1937 and can be found in all the previous census. In 1911 I have searched for him, his wife, and his six children all of whom have quite distinct names. I know they were all alive ...

Hannah Waters - birth record - problem!

Hi everyone,

I have a record for the birth of my 4th great grandmother, Hannah Waters;

She was born in 1793, Witton-cum-Twambrooks, Cheshire, it's a very informative record and gives information not only for residence, but parents of her parents too which is handy, because I can't find a marriage for her parents, James and Mary, however, the problem is that it only has half a page and a fraction of the next one, all ...

John Hockley 1751 - 1829 Ulting/Hatfield Peveral Essex

I am trying to find John Hockley's baptism record. John married Susannah Ward at All Saints Ulting Essex in1774. They were both described as of this Parish, although I can find no baptism record for John in the All Saints Parish Register. It would appear that Susannah died as John remarried in 1885 to Ann Dowcett of Langford again at All Saints in Ulting. They went on to have 9 children all baptised in St ...

Were was Sarah Jeffries in 1841?

Their marriage certificate confirms Sarah Jeffries married Alfred Stanford in Wargrave in May 1854. Her age is given as 26 so giving a birth year of 1829. This dob ties in with her death registration and most dates given on census returns.

Her place of birth is listed as either South Stoke or Woodcote but as these are neighbouring parishes I am happy that this is the same person (other details also tie in with ...

Edward Moore, born ca. 1807 Berwick-Upon-Tweed

Hello all,

I hope someone out there can help me with a brickwall I have come up against. Please bear with me I want to get everything right!

My great x 4 grandfather was called Edward Moor/e and he lived in London in the middle of the 19th century. On the census returns I have found for him (1841-1861) he appears to be born around 1807 in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland or Berwickshire, Scotland.

I think he ...

Does anyone know if the club records are still in existence? I understand the club was originally for staff of the Brentford Gaslight & Coke Company.
