Italian POW/ancestry

Hello all. Just a general enquiry if I may please. I am currently trying to find information about the various war graves in my local town cemetery and am collating info on the people along with a photo of the graves. One of the graves is for an Italian chap. I live in north Norfolk where there were a lot of POW camps so my assumption is he may well have been POW from ww2. ...

Unavailable websites

Is anyone having trouble with trying to access websites which are continually 'temporarily unavailable'? For the past week I've had these ongoing problems with Ancestry.com, Family Search and Find My Past - this one particularly frustrating as I had only a few days left on a special month fee which has now expired.
I'm wondering whether these sites are either overloaded for pre-Christmas search enthusiasm, or they are taken down in the middle of their ...

Private Thomas Metcalf GS/15432 WW1

I am researching the war records of my great grandmother's husband, Thomas Metcalf of Atherstone, Warwickshire. He has an entry on the 'Lives of the First World War' website, but I'm prevented, as a new user, from putting a complete link to that entry on this post (.../record?id=GBM/MCI/3020625, if that helps!).

On Ancestry, in the 'UK, Soldiers Died in the Great War 1914-1919' data set, Thomas has an entry (no documents available) with comments of ...

Interesting Electoral roll. Thoughts?

The atttached image is from the 1939 Electoral roll of Willesden East, page 367, available on ancestry. Can anyone shed light on the meaning of the blue lines? The first page (p264) containing the blue writing, says "Commence 1940". I'm thinking these are houses destroyed by bombing as it gives the date. However, the websight "Bombsight" only gives 1940/41 bomb damage.

Has anyone come across this before? What could the initials ccc mean?

Thank you ...
