He appears on my great grandfathers marriage (William Hopson) record to Mary Ann Webster in 1975 in Manchester Cathedral. William was born in Pendleton in 1854 and died in ...

Chester Residence

I am trying to discover what W.C.R., Church Coppenhall, Cheshire could be. It was given as the residence on a marriage certificate of my great uncle dated 1887 by both the bride and groom. They were married at The Parish Church, Coppenhall. I have searched the map of this area and cannot find any clues. Does anyone know what this residence could be?

Trying to find earlier post about Berkshire Hospital

I may have forgotten this incorrectly but I have a recollection of a post some months ago about a Berkshire Hospital. Someone asked how to find details about a now gone hospital in Reading and I believe a reply gave details of a website that might help.

I can't find it anywhere. Can any one help me find it please? Many thanks.

Medal Index Card Help

I am looking for clarification on two medal index cards. I am doing some research on our family history and have found two separate medal index cards for my great granddad Stanley G. Wilkes. Firstly, can anyone tell me if it is possible to have two medal index cards for the same person? Secondly, can anyone explain to me what the numbers/letters on the cards mean? I have attached copies of both cards.
