They married for a second time on 27 Mar 1826 at St Luke’s Church,Finsbury.

For a long time, I thought that this was a different couple, despite the signatures being very similar but then I got a copy of William’s Will which said “…bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann by my late wife Ann Nearne ...

Deaths of 3 young siblings over 2 days in 1892.

I have been researching one of my paternal lines, who migrated from the Welsh Marches to the mining and metal-working areas of the Midlands and North East. One particular couple had 17 children between 1875 and 1899, but by the 1911 Census, 10 had died.

I was curious to discover the reasons, so I sent for the Death Certificates, and I expected to find quite a high proportion of epidemic diseases like Measles or Scarlet ...

Edmund CADD was last seen in the 1901 census, when he was living aged 70 in Gawcott, Buckinghamshire . He was a widower, his wife Emma HOLTON having died in 1898. He was born in Hillesden, Bucks.

Windygates."
Added: Windygates, 19 Oct 97. ( ...

Dunham of Lincolnshire

Charles Jesney married his step sister Elizabeth Dunham in the June Quarter of 1898 registered Horncastle. In 1908 they sailed to Canada and settled in Edmonton. They did not have any children and Charles was killed in WW1.

Surprisingly Elizabeth stayed in Canada and died there and is buried in Edmonton. I have never worked out why she did not come back to England after Charles died.

In 1918 Alfred Bell was with them having ...
