East India Company

My ancestor William Evetts Sheffield wrote his Will in 1817, and refers to his son

“Henry Sheffield now on board the Bombay East Indiaman Captain Hamilton on his passage to the East Indies”

Does anyone know if the “Captain Hamilton” is the name of an East India Company Ship?

I can’t find Henry again – perhaps the ship sunk!! Any help would be much appreciated.
