Adoption 1916?

Hello i am looking into my partners family tree and his grandad was adopted but no one knows anything else accept for his original surname. On the records he is registered under both mother and fathers surname which has a little star next to it on the birth register. Mary Ann Brewster 1881 & 1891

I'm having difficulty tracing Mary Ann Brewster after the 1871 census. She was born in Sleaford, Lincs around 1827 and from all census returns up to 1871 she's in the town In 1871 she's running a high class 'boarding' house and was certainly not without finances.

She was a widow so I wondered if she'd remarried but I can't find and likely marriages. The only death I can find that seems likely to be her ...

Burial of Joseph Herbert George BERRY

Joseph Herbert George BERRY died 14 Jun 1951at Mitcham. His wife May Victoria was buried at All Saints in Carshalton, but apparently he was not buried in the same cemetery. The family home had been in Carshalton, but at the time of his death he was living in Mitcham.

Missing burials

I am trying to locate the burials of three relatives:

George EVELEIGH - d 11 Mar 1944 @ Western Hospital, Fulham, but lived in Wandsworth.

Mary Lilian DURBRIDGE - d 27 Dec 1973 @ St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, lived in Carshalton.

Winifred Beatrice EVELEIGH - d 29 Jan 1971 @ Harts Hospital, Woodford, lived in Woodford. Husband was buried at Chingford Mount Cemetery.

Holborn Workhouse Death 1900

I was wondering if anyone could please help with some advice please?

Brewster - Livett conundrum.

I'd be really grateful to hear others thoughts on this conundrum.

A friend has asked me to look into her family tree. She has some information that a relative has given her which I'm basing my assumptions on.

Census returns indicate that George Brewster Livett was born in Huntingdon in 1869. Both his children also bear the name Brewster. In some places in appears to be a hyphenated surname, in others a middle name. Whichever ...
