A date and country for this photo

I wouldn't normally ask, but we are missing records for one whole branch of the family and I am just wondering if this might possibly be a link (found in an old box of photos from one family member). Any ideas on date and country for this? Thanks in hope!

Railway photograph

I found this photograph amongst my great grandmothers photographs, Queenie, her husband Napoleon was a railway clerk at Kings Cross station in London. I imagine this photograph is Victorian, Napoleon Britnell was born in 1881 in Stokenchurch. There is no writing on the back of the photograph. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas when this may have been taken?

Age of Photo and Comparison

Unknown Man2.jpg
Would like opinions on the age of this photo, which I found among my mother's things, it is inside a Christmas greeting cover, also included.
Also, if any of you have access to the British Newspaper Archive would you look at the photo on page 9, Sussex Agricultural Express, 18 Jun 1915 and tell me if you think the gentleman below looks anything like any of the soldiers there! Thanks ...

Brothers in Arms

Here is a photograph of my great grandfather and his brother when they were young men. They were born in the 1890’s in English’s Row, Oxford where a court now stands. The elder of the two is my great grandfather who fought in World War One, and was discharged after a shrapnel wound. He married just after the war on Christmas Day 1918 in Cumnor. I was wondering if anybody could say when ...

X2 Great Grandmother

Here is my x2 great grandmother, Emma Ann Coombs (1866 - 1928) she was born in Cumnor, Oxfordshire (originally Berkshire) she married in 1886 in Cumnor to Marmaduke Henry Johnson. One of their daughters lived in Iffley, Oxfordshire where I believe this photograph was taken. I was wondering if anybody could date it for me?

Any estimates would be greatly appreciated

A date for this photo

I think this photograph is of my 2 x g grandfather James Cripps 1843-1905.

Does his style of dress suggest am Edwardian man in his later life. Could this be to commemorate his 60th birthday in 1903?

Any thoughts are very much appreciated.

Ships Name and Master

My Great Great Grandfather, James Phillips served on Captain Nares 1875 HMS Discovery expedition to the Artic.

He returned and did some other ships and then I lose touch with what happenened.

Family history say he died at around 30 on Burton's(?) Australia expedition of which I can find nothing.

However trawling through seaman deaths around when we think he died I came across the below. However I can't read what ship it says or ...

North Eastern Railway Uniforms? North Eastern Railway Uniforms?

The gentleman bottom left has been identified by another as my great uncle, a bus driver with NER. I think that the other 4 are his brothers including my grandfather - all of whom worked for NER and, later, LNER out of various north east stations. To confirm this I need some help in identifying the uniforms of the 2 men on the right. I can date this as post WW1 so about mid 1920's. ...
