No matter your taste in music or television show you will most likely know Sharon Osbourne, be it from her long running talk show, her role as a talent show judge, or her high-profile relationship with her husband. But there are some things you really may not know about her...

1. Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne (then Sharon Arden) worked for her father, Don Arden, at his music management company. She began as a receptionist there, moving up the business to a position in promotions around the time her father began managing Black Sabbath in 1976. It was here that she met Ozzy Osbourne, they have been married since 1982.

2. Business partners and life partners

Sharon took Ozzy on as a client and worked with him to launch his solo career and produce the metal festival Ozzfest which showcases established bands as well as supporting new talent. She also later managed her daughter Kelly, guitarist Lita Ford, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

3. Revenge

As well as her career as a manager and television host, Sharon is also a writer. She has published multiple autobiographies, and written a collaborative memoir with the rest of the Osbourne family, and in 2010 released her debut thriller novel Revenge.

4. Charitable work

From bingo calling for Comic Relief to recording covers with proceeds going to Save the Children, Sharon has often used her high profile to support important causes. Following her battle with colon cancer she worked with Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles where she received her treatment to set up the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program. The program works to provide support for patients and their families.

5. A recognisable voice

If her career did not already seem varied enough, Sharon has also done some voice acting in children’s films. In 2006 she played Christophe in Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties, starring Bill Murray as Garfield!.
