Actor Naomie Harris is famous for starring in the Pirates of the Caribbean and James Bond franchises and for her Oscar-nominated performance in Moonlight.

On Who Do You Think You Are? she travels to the Caribbean to investigate her family history.

Here's five things you might not know about the star...
 

1. London roots

Naomie grew up in Finsbury Park, London. Her mother is from Jamaica and her father from Trinidad.
 

2. Literary links

Naomie has starred in TV adaptations of three of the most popular novels of recent times: White Teeth by Zadie Smith, Poppy Shakespeare by Clare Allan and Small Island by Andrea Levy.
 

3. Bond girl

Naomie played Eve Moneypenny in the James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre and will reprise the role in the forthcoming 25th Bond film. She is the first black actress to play Moneypenny, and the first Moneypenny to be given a first name.
 

4. Surprise guest

Naomie once told her Collateral Beauty co-star Will Smith about her family’s incredible cooking and he invited himself over for dinner!
 

5. Awards success

Not only did Naomie receive Golden Globe, BAFTA and Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the critically acclaimed film Moonlight, she has been awarded an OBE for services to drama.
